Nada Yoga: Sanskrit, Sounding, and Chanting

One Tree Yoga - Omaha, NE

A weekend with sounding, Sanskrit, chanting, meditation and asana. Experience the effects of sound, sounding, and the ancient language of Sanskrit…wrapped around nourishing yoga asana practices! Nada yoga is the practice of reverence and response to sound. Sound and music, in many cultures are considered potential mediums to achieve deeper unity with both the outer and inner cosmos. In yoga the use of sound vibrations and resonances are also employed to pursue palliative effects for healing the heart and mind. We'll use the quietude of yin yogas deep feeling practices to support us in our exploration. Yin yoga is a challenging asana practice where the postures are exclusively on the floor, held for extended periods of time, with mindfulness techniques woven into the experience. Yin yoga will drop you deep, and the sounding will open you up! Come explore for yourself this weekend!
